Behind the dark glasses...

The sky ain't too blue today. It is not grey. It is not too cloudy either. The sun peeps every now and then. You can feel it each time beads of perspiration rolled from your temples to the side burns. For years, I have seen you at the same exact place. The same corner of the green bench. I never once put myself in your shoes. I never know how hard it is like walking with two of your loyal friends; your shades and walking stick. I wonder if you've seen the beautiful colours of God's creation or the wonder of nature and still life. Or the joy on an infant's demure face and the innocent smile. You must have missed out a lot. It's people like you who has made me wake up and smell the cappuccino. God is great in making this world filled with wonderful creations. No matter where we are, always treasure the beauty our eyes can capture. Because behind those dark glasses of theirs, lies a little hope to have vision like ours.
