I woke up pretty late today! At 11 am! My dad didn't wake me up which is a good thing. Anyway I went to fetch my granny at 3pm and we went off to Geylang Serai. Shopping, looking at stuffs etc.. It's rather empty. Not many stores are up yet. But nevertheless, my granny bought a kebaya melati from one of the shop. It was a pretty kebaya. Original cost was $120 but with the queen of bargain around ehem, we got it for $55. Half the price huh.. I bet the cost price of it is only $10 but well Indonesians are very good businessman! This is actually my granny's first ever kebaya that she's ever bought! FIRST EVER since my granddad passed away in 1956. She usually make her own clothes but due to her weakness as her age is progressing, she decided to buy one. I break fast at granny's place so we bought a food home from Geylang. Few minutes before break fast, my sister pop at the doorstep. My sis refused to follow us to Geylang and she'll be caught dead if she were to step there!! I didn't buy anything though. Just looking around. I thought of wearing nonya kebaya this year because it look pretty but let's see how..


I find that Geylang Serai's decoration is really something this year. Look at the pic above.. That dome is made of bling blings. I should have brought Latipah along so that you people can have a better view at it. Nevermind, I'll go back to Geylang to shoot this at night during mid-Ramadan. Here's something to share before I am done for today...
