11:23 pm

We started our day as early as 0800. Met at Woodlands and took a bus to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. Upon reaching there, we changed to our 'PT' attire. We then walked to MacRitchie Reservoir as we wanted to go to the Tree Top Bridge so badly. I think we managed to cover like 3km of the trail before we go into the main road. From the main road, we walk and walk. Was a long walk. In the end, we hailed this car and the driver willingly stopped and wind down his window. Harng was bull shitting saying that we don't know the route to the MacRitchie trail. We know actually. So the driver offered to give us a lift. Thank you so much to him!!! Little that we realise that we actually covered only 1/6 of the journey from where we took the ride. Damn!!
We reached Rifle Range Trail and we happily walked 7km up to the Tree Top Trail. It was a long superbly tiring trail and furthermore we have to climb the stairs. It's so high!! Harng and me were wearing slippers. Only Ann was the enthusiastic one wearing this ITE Clementi shorts and shoes. My toes has blisters cos I tripped on the rocks along the trail. I was so unglam by this time. Furthermore, we passed by this contingent of army guys who were there. But I don't see one that attracts my eye. :P Maybe just one lah!
When we reached the Tree Top Bridge, there's this stupid butch at the entrance giving us shitty attitude. But to hell with her, we did enjoy the picturesque view of the scenery from the bridge. I thought I would freak out when standing on top of the bridge. But it wasn't that bad after all. The bridge was stable. Good gracious! But the worse part of the trip was that I was having DIARRHEA!! WTH!!! I was like looking contemplating to just shit in the jungle. But I didn't want to unless I really can't hold it back!
After we exit from the bridge came the horrendous part of the trip. It was raining so heavily! I thought to myself it's ok to be soaked. I don't even bother the fact that I was wearing an ultra translucent white shirt. It was kinda cool to be showered by the rain. It was the first time HANIS WENT WATERPROOF!! I hate rain! Hell no I'd do that if I'm not a on hiking trip.
Apart from the bad weather, we so-called lost our way. Went back to square one! Went pass Rifle Range Trail THREE bloody times! Then we made our way to Jelutong Towers and we have to turn back. Otherwise, the trail will take us at least 3 hours to get to the next exit. So we walked and walked and walked and the trail that we were supposed to use was closed due to the landslide. Then it was left with 2 choices. First one was to climb the long stairs all over again or go back to where we start our journey at Rifle Range Road.
We were really really really exhausted by then. Water is running out and we had no food. It was already 1 pm. My legs were already so shaky. So does Harng's. Ann had leg cramps. We motivate ourselves to keep walking and talking about Prata and Chocolate(choc-orgasm!) When we see the barrier from where we started, we were so happy. Happy Media Kids!! We walked like 100 metres ahead before we stopped a lorry. Along the way, there were monkeys giving us evils!! Damn monkeys!!
The ride on the lorry took about 10 minutes. The driver was kind enough to let us off at the nearest bus stop. Thank you to both the drivers who have done us good! It was a very windy ride..
After that, we took a cab to Prata House to have our brunch! So smelly and tired! Thank god I brought and extra shirt. Had pratas and rojak and a teh 'O' extra kow for me! It was such a good meal! I really enjoyed the whole hiking experience! Was rather once in a lifetime. We were so proud of ourselves for making it to the top of the bridge!

Finally at 1500, I met up with my granny at Bishan to accompany her to see her physician. The physician asked her why she brought me along this time, and my granny told the physician she like my company that's why she brought me over. Hehehehe! And I ended up having 15 bucks extra in my purse. :->
