Choosing a Uni..

Friday, May 04, 2007

9:30 pm

I'm so serious about my studies now. I'm so gonna buck up on my GPA and study for my UTs. I've been wanting to take my degree after poly. Which Uni to enter and which degree to determine my future has yet to be decided. I went for the UNSW Asia information day with Ann last night. It seemed that UNSW are not looking for GPAs but instead the grades for all the modules. Average grade should be of 60-65%. I calculated my overall.. Not bad after all.. Managed to hit that mark. But whatever it is, I still aim to hit the 3.5 GPA target this year.

I've always wanted to further my studies overseas. It's gonna cost my family a bomb I know. I seriously don't wanna be a burden to my family. I've been doing a lot of reading in the net on local unis. I have a few choices in my mind. Not a few but only two actually..

If I were to go to LaSalle, I would wanna take the BA in Fashion Communication. I love fashion studies and I can use my skills in Media to apply to this course. Being a Media student specialising in Art & Design, I think it somehow prepares me to be a designer. The BA in Advertising design offered from LaSalle would be a great choice too.

In UNSW Asia on the other hand, they're coming up with a BA in Media in 2008. By the time I graduated from Poly, it's the right time to apply. I would certainly wanna try that out. Seriously, I'm only interested in these two institutions. I once thought of going to Malaysia to take my degree but come to think about it, will it be an internationally recognised degree? I wanna take something that benefits me in the long run...

Any suggestions?
