Why some people's English is atrocious?

Wednesday, February 28, 2007

7:16 pm

Fazz sms-ed me in morning asking me out for coffee. I made plans with my granny so it was a rather quick one. Today I was a pillion rider (bad choice of attire knowing that I'm gonna sit on a bike!). There was this mat and his minah gf on a bike, roaring up his engine just to overtake Fazz. In my heart I was like, OMG you're riding a kapchai!! Like come on get over it! That minah then gave me this evil look. Don't go giving me evils! Btw, do I look like a minah to you? Come on, I was wearing a shirt properly tucked into my pants. Not a white t-shirt along with a black cardigan and dark tapered jeans. I'm so against that kinda dressing! :P Sorry I so gotta rant about this stuff!

Well anyway, when I was at Starbucks earlier today, I heard someone's atrocious english coming up from the vicinity. Being me, a usual busybody and a once self-confessed anti-singlish individual, I turned my head to find out who was the guy who nearly tickle my ear drums crazy! Well, he's a bespectacled secondary school kid in long pants. And yeah he belongs to the same secondary school as Nikki! No wonder Nikki's english is likewise. :P He was going on and on about his bio test with his horrible you know what. If you failed it, don't blame it on your teachers. The other 2 chicks who were with him seemed so nonchalant about it. Hahaha!

Few days back I went to Arab Street with NK. Went to shoot as usual! I find it annoying to walk in front of the Zam Zam restaurant located across the Sultan Mosque. Whoever and whenever someone walks in front of the restaurant, the staffs will be there at the corridor of the shophouses persistently welcoming you into the restaurant. Well I don't mind that. But what irritates me was that NK and I walked pass the same corridor more than thrice and they keep persuading us 'Prata, murtabak pon ada, briyani, mee goreng'!. We wanna get a good angle of the mosque. If not for that, I wouldn't wanna pass that place at all.

I just dyed my hair. Turned out brownish. Nice I think! I called my fashion consultant for advice on whether I should highlight my hair or colour the whole head. She said the latter and advised me not to go for the former because I have dry hair and if I were to highlight my hair, the streaks will not turned out nice on my tresses. True though. I think I look different with a different colour hair. I remember back then when I had the Halle Berry hairstyle back then in secondary 3 or 4, I dyed it brown and most people said I looked eurasian. I'm serious! Haha! Then I stopped dying my hair since my tertiary years. I'm sick of being jetblack! It's time for a change. And... I miss my longer tresses.. I miss braiding them! :(
