Art Fazil.

Where have you been Art? I've been waiting for your presence again after 5 years. I'm referring to our local singer/songwriter Art Fazil. I've been his loyal fan since I was 13. Art was from the trio "Rausyanfikir" which was popular with their hit song "Fikir Fikir" back in 1992. With an acoustic guitar on his lap and a cup of 'teh tarik' on the coffee table, he's the most laid-back musician I wanna ask for. "NUR", Art's first solo album was produced in 2001 and it has enjoyed tremendous support from fans and incredible album sales. Since then, no news of a new album due to be released. His soulful voice never fails to make me listen to his songs for the second time. His hit songs are "Merindu Kepastian" and "Nur" which means Missing Certainty and Light respectively have been on air around the region. Yet, not many recognised his masterpieces. What I really love about him is that all his materials are self-penned. They were inspired and written during his sojourns in London, Istanbul, KL and Indonesia. It all got together in Singapore. Wonderful isn't it...
