Yesterday was a joyful and horrendous day for many teens. Joyful because they've done well for their O level and otherwise. It was the release of the GCE O level 2005. I was anxious for my cousin Shamiha who got 6 credits and 13 points for her L1R4. Better than my 7 credits and an aggregate of 16 points. Heard she wanna take a Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management. Another cousin of mine Shariz has 18 points. He on the other hand would wanna follow my footsteps and take a Diploma related to Media. Haha! Great! You can be my disciple. :P Congrats to both my lovely cousins.
As I was at the bus stop in Sengkang waiting for the bus yesterday evening, I overheard this girl talking on the phone. She claimed she flung her O level. Heard she got 28 points for her L1R4. My bad! She look like a "smarty pants". Speaks good English but I was shocked when she mentioned that she has E8 for it. She told the person on the other line, "Shocking right my English?? I know that's gonna be your reaction.. I'm disappointed lorrr....". Haha! I was more like eavesdropping than overhearing. LOL...
During my time, I was darn nervous and I have had sleepless nights thinking about my result. I was so afraid that I'll fail Combined Science. I didn't do 30 marks question for my Chemistry paper. I totally went blank upon seeing the questions in that section. And time was a big destruction. Thank God I pass My Combined Science with a C5. I guess my Physics pull my grades up. What's disapponting is E.Maths. I was hoping for a B3 but end up with a C5!! Dang thing! But I'm happy with my Accounts, Design, Humanities and Languages. I think I'm more of an Arts person.
My second language(Malay) was shocking. I got C5 for my first try.. Was rather disappointing as I didn't really focus on the May paper. I was thinking about my birthday party later that day. I know my malay teacher was disappointed in me. I don't wanna retake but he insisted that I should. I studied real hard for the November paper then. It was actually quite tough! I thought I would disappoint Cikgu with a C again but it turned out to be a B3... WOW! So happy! It's like an achievement for me as I've not had a B3 for my Malay ever since I entered high school.
My Malay sucks big time man! In a class of 50 students taking Malay O level paper, only 2 had a pathetic PASS for oral while the others had DISTINCTION or MERIT. I'm one of the 2 fools who got PASS. Was kinda embarassed! But heck, I got B3 in the end! The other fool who had a PASS was Asmi. Overall, we did better than many others. His first try was B4 and second try was B3 like me. A tap on the back to the both of us.... :D
Oh ya... I wanna say CONGRATULATIONS to my dear pal Zati for her English. She failed her English the first time with an E8 and she made a remarkable improvement by achieving a C6. She only retook English as a private candidate. Even though it's not a distinction, it's still an improvement. Good job Zati... ;)
