Holiday mood? Not for me. Got loads of stuffs to complete but people around me doesn't seem to notice it. Well... Aside from my busy schedule, I still have the time to head to town last week to toil. Didn't really have the atmosphere to blog but now the mood has come.
Well.. Orchard Road is having massive sale and I can spot countless of colossal christmas trees for this year's festive season! As I was walking alone along Scotts Road last week, I noticed many buskers on the street. The best one was the SINGAPORE'S YOUNGEST BUSKER, ETHAN ONG. He's only 6 and astoundingly, he plays the drum so well. Yes, I mean the drum set, the whole set which consists of the bass drum, snare drum, hi-hat, cymbals etc. Accompanied by his dad who cheered him on right from the outset, he seems pretty confident playing it. Even before his recital starts, a formation of crowds has begun to flood the corner of Scotts Road. Soon after the cymbals strike, throngs could be seen from afar to watch the very young lad's performance. About 7 minutes later, he ended his piece with 3 bows to the hordes. Very humble young man who I am sure will make it big one day! Before I head off, I dropped 2 bucks in the basket in appreciation.
There are numerous credit cards endorsement on the street and I'm kinda averse to stop and listen to the marketer's claptraps. THREE marketers have approached me (two from the same company!) enquiring me in relation to their company's cards!! (Do I look like a potential CREDIT CARD HOLDER?!?! Blahhhh.. Not for now!)
I walked from Orchard MRT station all the way to Somerset. While sauntering, I passed by Tangs and look at some handbags. Up on the second level is kinda intersting. My favourite items on my list now - FASHION ACCESSORIES! But what turned me off was that a place like Tangs has thick dust on their eye-catching accessories.
Hmm.. During lunch, I headed to Lucky Plaza and ate Char Kway Teow. I heard the hawker fries great CKT. When I taste it, I was like, "Hmm.. Not bad!". But the turn-off is that the bistro was FULL OF MATS AND MINAHS staring at customers walking in! There are also countless of Filipinos in the proximity. Well, Lucky Plaza is their hangout and a place for interaction for them. Some of these Filipinos actually set up picnics. I bet they are having the time of their lives meeting up old pals and catching up good old times. (Now I'm missing my high school girlfriends very badly! You know who you are gals!) Anyway got myself 3 shawls at a cheap price.
At night when everything's been done, time to cabut. Packed my stuffs and head to Somerset MRT station. Was so tired! The night scenery was really nice! (I didn't think of snapping any pictures then. Kinda regret.) My legs were killing me, I'm not kidding! When I arrive at Somerset MRT's platform, there are no more vacant seats so I carelessly sat on the floor. A minute later, I saw 2 funky malay girls did the same thing too. They smiled at me so I returned one too. Obviously we were tired!
In the train, there's this guy who kept glaring at me. There were no seats and he stood facing me not far away from where I was ( About a metre I guess). When I look at him, he'll look elsewhere. I was like, "What? My pimple on my chin looked so attractive to you?!?!". Thank god he alighted at Bugis. Bummer! I'll have this unsettling feeling when someone stares at me. Haha! I got a seat at Bedok finally!! When the train reaches Pasir Ris, everyone has to alight as it's going back to the depot. I saw a mat in the train dozing away. I questioned myself, "Should I wake him up?". Haha! So I went back into the carriage and wake him up. Gosh, I tapped his knee like 5 times and he didn't feel it. So I gave him a hard tap and that arouse him. Without any word, I quickly get out from the train. Haha! Courtesy pays off when he gave me a smile while walking towards the bus interchange.
When I'm home, I knocked out after changing. I was so darn drained. Couldn't stand a second longer. My bed and pillows called out to me to get pampered by them. HAHA! I can say that that was my most exhausted day after so long!
