In the MRT this morning.

Thursday, October 06, 2005

2:31 pm

This morning I was in the train heading for school. I sat at my usual place. I have the advantage of doing so because I am 'lucky' enough to live at the eastern side of the country. EW1 is the MRT station that I've been frequenting. I was so bored, just sitting and listening to my MP3. There was a boy in front of me. In primary school I supposed because of the uniform. He wore an expensive pair of school shoe. A REEBOK velcro-ed white shoe. I've seen at the Royal Sporting House that those cost $58 per pair. 'PENG' was my reaction. This made me recall my past. When I was in primary school, the best school shoe I've ever worn was an ESPRIT white canvas shoe which actually cost $12. That was in Primary 6. Cheaper than the other shoes that I've bought the previous years. Since Primary 1, I've been loyal to BATA. I've at least 3 to 5 BATAs every year. But nowadays, I really think parents pamper their children and want the best for them. These kids are so fortunate! But I'm glad my dad made the right choice in getting me and my elder sister our BATA because their shoes fit and understand our foot best!

*PENG is a word which can describe so many things. (That word has been in my dictionary ever since)
