It's getting nearer and nearer.

9:11 pm

I was at school this afternoon for the presentation of the Youth Expedition Project (YEP). Everyone was dressed in their team shirts. I can feel the closeness of me and my team when all of us wore identical clothing for the first time. Oh god! The date for the trip is coming nearer and nearer. Next wednesday!! And I've not done any preparations. I don't know if I'm looking forward for it. Maybe I am but on the other had, I'm not. I am looking forward for it because it's been quite some time since I travel that far. Well, I'm not looking forward for the trip as I don't know if I get to bathe with closed doors. I don't know how it will be like there at Sri Lanka. I'm going to be there for TWO WEEKS not two days. My feet will reek if I did not wash it with proper soap. But actually it's good for me to experience such a thing because I'm too comfortable living in Singapore. Everthing is being served to me. Home is heaven - sleeping in an air-conditioned room, surfing the internet all day, sleeping on my big cosy comfortable bed, watching DVDs on my bed, having to spend an hour in the shower etc etc etc... My nails will crack and it's gonna be filled with dirt. Well, for two weeks, I'm gonna be outta my comfort zone. I'm prepared for it. Both mentally and physically. Preparing for the worse too. I'm not gonna give up halfway! Gonna experience life beyond the urban civilisation. But having to go to the rural areas isn't that bad after all. Gotta learn to be more open-minded about such things right? The answer is definitely yes!
